On Thursday night I’ll be helping out with the launch of the latest EP Unit from Teenage Engineering – The Supertone Riddim n’ Ting. That’s happening at Music Works on Dominion Rd, it’s free but follow that link for ticketing.There’s some wicked videos appearing from Wednesday morning so have a gander, I’m looking forward to getting my hands on one, looks boss!!
On Friday I’ll be playing at Morningside Tavern from 5-8, first time there, should be a gas.
On Saturday all roads lead to Harleys in Pt Chev for Revolution Sound & Black Giant on the soundsystem tip.
As mentioned on the show I won’t be at Mt Albert Record Fair because they sided with an offence taking ‘customer’ over a pro Palestine shirt being worn while DJing (for nothing!). The rub is apparently it wasn’t even me that was complained about (though I was wearing a PSNA shirt at the last Fair) but I’m to pay the price for their Zionist sympathising. If you do go – please support the stallholders, cock a snook at the organisers and let me know how you go if your wear a political shirt of any stripe. Every time the offended and performative are catered to, indulged and tolerated, the worse they become!

Loved your show for years and years, it’s the best music show on BFM, if not the world. Although I support Israel’s right to defend itself against attack and it’s right for self determination and existence, I don’t support the carpet bombing of Gaza just to get to Hamas and also the ever encroaching advancement of extreme Israeli religious settlers on the west bank, moving into Palestinian farming areas and communities and kicking them off land that they have been settled on for 1400+ years.
I think the fact you got banned from that music show (part of your living) for simply wearing a free Palestine shirt is ridiculous and bizarre to the extreme. I hope you file some kind of lawsuit or character assassination claim to get reimbursement and justice. What happened to freedom of expression and agreeing to disagree…
